Eyes & Age
As a baby parrots, both Congo and Timnehs will have dark brown to black eyes up until they are around 6 months of age.

By the time they reach a year of age, their eyes have become a pale greyish color. At about 1.5 to 2 yrs their eyes will turn a pale straw/yellow color.

At 3-4 years of age, they will have a light yellow iris. This is the way to be able to determine an estimated age of a Grey.

Very yellow eyes can be a sign,though,NOT A DIAGNOSIS of liver problems.
Some older greys do have bright yellow eyes and no problems.

Eyes can not determine sex.
Grey's are noted to reach maturity at 4-5 years of age.
